Hummingbird Class Allotment Flourishes

Hummingbird Class allotment plot is starting to flourish thanks to all the love and care from the children. They tend the plants daily, watering and weeding where needed. They have learnt about over and under watering and the importance of light and soil. We have an abundance of strawberries, green beans, new potatoes and tomato plants.

We have a new raised wooden planter, gardening gloves for the children and a small wheelbarrow. Our allotment supports our current topic about living things and their environments. There are lots of opportunities to study wildlife. The teamwork and care that the children invest in growing,  promotes wellness and happiness.
