DLD Awareness Day – 16th October 2026
A creative way to mark the day.
Developmental Language Disorder (DLD) is a lifelong condition that affects how someone understands and uses language. It can make day-to-day communication, learning, relationships and everyday life harder than they should be, and can impact mental health and wellbeing.
To help raise awareness on DLD Day, Speech and Language UK, invited pupils at Meath School to share their creativity and submit a piece of artwork to be displayed at a special exhibition in the Houses of Parliament.
The children got busy and we are also holding our own exhibition, and parents are invited to view their children’s creations at the end of school on DLD Day.
