Meath School’s Governing Body provides strategic leadership and accountability. It has three key functions:
1. Overseeing the financial performance of Meath School and making sure its money is well spent.
2. Holding the Principal to account for the educational performance of Meath School and its pupils.
3. Ensuring clarity of vision, ethos, strategic direction and the safeguarding of pupils.
The Governing Body sets the aims and objectives for Meath School and sets the policies and targets for achieving those aims and objectives. They monitor and evaluate the progress that Meath School is making and act as a source of challenge and support to the Principal.
