We work together as a team in Seahorse Class and this helps us to earn Petrol Points:

Last half term we filled up the petrol tank and earned a Petrol Party. We made car sandwiches and traffic light chocolate cakes.

Our Science topic this term is Earth & Space and we are learning how the Earth and Moon orbit the Sun. We wrote mnemonics to help us to remember the order of the planets in relation to the Sun. Have a look:

These are our fact files on the planets:

Each week we discuss the Big Question in Science. We had lots of ideas about Space travel: What if you could travel into Space? What do you think?

We are really enjoying learning about the Vikings and how they invaded Britain. In Storytelling, we are sharing ‘Erik the Viking’ by Terry Jones. We have had lots of adventures with Erik and his friends, fighting the terrifying dogfighters, rescuing Freya the Enchanter’s daughter, overcoming the Green Enchantress and lots more!

We wrote descriptions of our own mythical sea monsters just like the one in Erik the Viking. Have a look at our Marine Life tank to see the models we made of them:

Follow what happens as we read on with our Learning Wall where we map out the story to help us to remember it.

In Art, we made Viking masks out of clay:

In Maths we are independent learners who select the tools we need to solve mathematical problems.

In Super Skills we are learning how to prepare a meal independently. We are designing and planning a pizza meal but first we have to make a shopping list, do our online order and check we have enough money!

Take a look at our Viking Long boat!!

We have been re-writing our own versions of the traditional tale – The Billy Goats Gruff. We changed the characters to make our own stories. Take a look:
