Safeguarding

Keeping children safe at Meath

The safety of the pupils and the families we work with are a priority to us all at Meath School.

Sian Vaux is the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) at Meath School. The school also has a Deputy Designated Safeguarding Leads (DDSL) too.  Any concerns in school are reported to them.

Due to the vulnerable nature of our children and their difficulty communicating, it is not uncommon for a member of the safeguarding team to follow up a potential concern with parents – often to simply clarify what a child may have communicated to someone. This is their legal responsibility and we appreciate your understanding that your child’s wellbeing is of the utmost importance to us.

What to do if you have a safeguarding concern:

If you have any concerns at all, please contact a DDSL or DSL as soon as possible.  meathdsl@meathschool.org.uk

Should your concern be in respect to a member of school staff then contact the Majella Delaney, Principal on majella.delaney@meathschool.org.uk

However, if you have a concern about the Principal then please contact the Director of Education on neil.maslen@speechandlanguage.org.uk
