Volunteers

Applications are invited for volunteers to join Meath School Residential Department on a 12-month volunteer programme.  We provide residential care and education to children aged from 5 to 11 years who have Complex Speech, Language and Communication Difficulties. 

You will be volunteering alongside colleagues in our residential team providing support to the children, developing their independence, social and emotional skills and supporting with activities.  You will support the children to achieve their individual targets and assist with developing new skills.

Our volunteers bring a wide range of cultural interests, perspectives and experiences, providing role models for the children to learn from.  This is an opportunity for you to develop your knowledge, skills and experience.

While this position is unpaid, you will be provided with food, accommodation and payment of agreed expenses.

Interviews will be conducted in person or via Zoom and you will be contacted to conform the date and time this is to take place.

You will also be required to undergo a DBS check and some basic safeguarding training before starting.
